Cross Care Counselling

Our vision at Cross Care Counselling is to redefine the landscape of counselling services within our community and the NDIS framework by creating a vibrant, inclusive, and creative space where participants and their families feel empowered and supported.

We aspire to be a beacon of innovation in therapeutic practices, transforming traditional counselling into an engaging and holistic experience that promotes mental health and emotional well-being.

By fostering a community of care that emphasises artistic expression and interactive therapies, we aim to inspire resilience, independence, and personal growth for all our clients, setting a new standard for excellence in counselling and disability support services.

What is counselling and why choose counselling?

Counselling is a therapeutic process where you can safely explore personal challenges, improve mental health, and learn to navigate life at your full potential.

At Cross Care Counselling, we believe that wellbeing encompasses both mind and body. We foster a holistic approach and work alongside individuals in exploring their story, use evidence informed approaches that challenge the mind, promote nervous system and emotional regulation, help individuals work toward desired goals and build on positive resources.

We believe that everyone has the capability within them to reach their full potential and that our work as counsellors is to highlight these strengths and empower individuals to make positive change in their lives.

Who is counselling for?

Cross Care Counselling caters for those experiencing mild anxiety, social anxiety, mild depression, grief, stress, or challenging life transitions. Counselling also benefits those wanting to enhance their overall wellbeing, delve deeper into self-discovery or improve their psychological flexibility.

We provide counselling for participants of the NDIS community, their families and those involved in the disability support space. We understand that traditional talk therapy can at times be challenging, therefore we have implemented expressive art resources in our space for those who would find this helpful.

Fees and Session Types

Our counselling sessions are available to everyone, offering inclusive and accessible support tailored to individual needs. No matter your circumstances, we’re here to help you on your journey.

Although Medicare rebates do not apply to counselling services, the cost is often comparable to or even more affordable than the out-of-pocket expenses for other psychological services. Furthermore, for those requiring more than 10 sessions, counselling can provide a more cost-effective solution. This is because Medicare only subsidises a portion of up to 10 psychological sessions, whereas counselling remains an affordable option beyond this limit.

Our services for NDIS participants are priced in accordance with the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits for 2024-2025, ensuring fair and transparent costs that align with current guidelines.
